Buying a Sauna is a big step and there aren't many reviews and helpful information available. Since we manufacture Saunas, making sure that our customers have the best experience when buying either from us or somewhere else is a priority in our company mission.
Things you need to watch for:
Due to the highly competitive online marketing environment, some online stores resort to unethical practices to gain more sales. As a result, customers might end up with less than satisfactory shopping experiences. After some research, also based on our over ten years of selling experiences, we collected some tricks other sellers might use to "reduce" their prices
- Large capacity, small dimensions:
We noticed some online stores list their products as 2-person or 3-person infrared saunas. Surprisingly, they are smaller than our 1-person and 2-person infrared saunas when we compare their dimensions to our products. Always watch out for the actual dimensions before you buy and infrared sauna and compare it with other providers. Here are some useful hints: Minimum dimention in width for 1-person sauna should be 35" inches, 43" inches for 2-person and 63" inches for 3-person sauna.
- Sell and forget:
Some customers reported that after buying an infrared sauna from an online store, they find it hard to get after-sales-service, sometimes not even able to contact the customer service at all. Always make sure that the customer service department is in service and the site provides sufficient and convenient ways for customers to reach.
Prior to your final decision on purchasing a sauna (either Infrared, Traditional or Portable), you need to take the following into consideration.
- Do you have any health or medical conditions that might prevent you from using infrared saunas? Far infrared radiation (FIR) is considered harmless for humans. Infrared heaters are even used to heat premature babies in hospitals incubators. But some people with certain illnesses and conditions should not use an infrared sauna or use it with extra caution (Review our "Is It Safe" page).
- Decide where you will place your infrared sauna. It's important to choose a low-humidity, dry and level place. Also, most saunas are for in-door uses (you'll need an out-door model for out-door use). Make sure that you have enough room for your infrared sauna before purchasing it.
- Choose the right model. Now you'll need to decide which sauna model fits you the best. Here are the types of saunas to consider
Compare those sauna models you are interested in (you can compare up to 10 models on our web site at once) and decide which model fits you the best. You should also take the following into consideration when comparing different models:
- Capacity and dimensions.
- Power usage (infrared sauna uses about 90% less energy than traditional saunas)
- Heating time. Given room temperature 77° F, our infrared sauna rooms can reach 125° F in 30 minutes or less, while others might take as long as 55 minutes. (110°-120° F is the recommended ideal therapeutic temperature for human body).
- Operating temperature.
- Type and number of heaters.
- Finally, buy the sauna. After making sure everything is what you want and you're satisfied with the store (either online or offline), go ahead order the sauna and enjoy.
